Nigerian rapper Panshak Henry Zamani, popularly known as Ice Prince Zamani, has been captured for supposedly snatching a police officer. The representative for the police in Lagos state, Benjamin Hundeyin, let it be known in a tweet on Friday early daytime enumerating how the vocalist was captured.

He expressed the vocalist was captured for a supposed assault on a police officer who halted him for driving without license plates. In the tweet, Mr Hudenyin claimed that the rapper took steps to toss the officer into a waterway at the place of capture.


The PPRO posted a photograph of the rapper in binds and said he would be indicted.

"At 3 am today, @Iceprincezamani was halted for driving without license plates. He consented to be taken to the station. From that point onward, he stole the police officer in his vehicle, assaulted and took steps to toss him in the waterway. He has been captured and will be charged today".

Mr Hundeyin likewise affirmed the occurrence during a phone interview with PREMIUM TIMES on Friday.

That's what he said "the episode happened around Lekki Phase 1, however, he was captured on Victoria Island. Ice Prince would be charged at the Magistrate court in Ajah on Friday morning.''

Ice Prince has been serene in the diversion scene and the music business and has not had an earlier squabble with the Nigerian police.

In 2013, Ice Prince released Fire of Zamani as his second studio collection. The collection contained the singles "Aboki", "More", "Gimme Dat" and "No doubt about it".


On 1 July 2015, Ice Prince was declared the vice leader of Chocolate City. He stood firm on the footing until he left the name in 2016.
